Hello again, glad to see you are still interested in storage unit auctions. These auctions are a great places to find cheap merchandise, and I know that if you start attending them, the better your odds of finding deals like I did. But I am not the only one who has found some incredible items from an auction. Let me tell you about Brandon. He emailed me after reading my book, and he thought he would share how his first auction went. I will now share that story with you. Just remember this same thing could happen to you when you start attending storage unit auctions. I thought I would tell You about My first experience with Storage unit auctions which was today. They Started out selling by the piece, which is how most of the auction went,(Though They did sell whole small units toward the end) when something wouldnt sell for at least a dollar they would make a pile and add to it as something wouldnt sell. Well there was a pile on the table, and I spotted a 4 foot aluminum level on top, no takers at $2.50 so I said $1 "sold"! He says.... Well I wanted the level and they are fairly spendy so I thought I can give away or trash the rest. When I started carrying the pile over to my stash spot, I saw that I had won a nice shovel with a fiberglass handle, I needed one, In fact an Old Man asked how much I wanted for it, but like I said I needed it. A carpenters belt with tape measure, razor knife chalk line etc. A small saddle fuel tank with filter and electric pump, You know the kind You put in the back of your Pick-up to haul diesel up to Your Cat or other Heavy Equipment (I happen to have a D-4 Cat, needs work, but thats another story) some aluminum pans, which I put in My take to the recycler pile, and a few other nick nacks. Next thing I bought for $1 was a 18 speed Bike, couple low tires, no big deal. next I got a like new pup tent with a tip-out and a coleman cooler with wheels and hinged break away lid for $1 each. Four Brand new in Box with plastic wrap still on, 32"X64" blinds. My buddy that I was there with said He just paid $40 a box last week for similiar blinds. My best buy though came as a shock, even to Me....I was taking a break away from the action, I looked over and they put what looked like a large battery charger on the table, nobody would start the bid so I called the $2.50 bid and won, what the heck its worth $2.50.I went to pull it off the table, and it weighed a ton! Well it was'nt a baterry charger it was an Arc welder! lol! I couldnt beleive it, not a new one, but the wiring is all there, and nothings missing, heck even if it doesnt work, the copper wire is worth more than $2.50! I'm sure it does work, this particular unit had nice stuff, in fact I passed up a lot because I didnt have room in My buddies Truck to haul too much... In fact they couldnt sell a nice washer and Dryer set for $10, I was tempted but I dont have room, but I was tempted anyway LOL! It's all Your fault Matt! LOL! getting Me addicted to Storage Auctions! LOL! Brandon
Well there you have it, another successful storage unit story. If you would like to share your story, feel free to e-mail me And remember if you haven't been to a storage auction yet, I have everything you will need to know in my ebook.
