You don’t always have to sell at eBay or rummage sales to make some quick cash; you can often sell things seconds after the auction ends.

This works best if there are a lot of people bidding on a unit that you won. More often than not, people are bidding on a unit in hopes of winning only a couple of items not the whole lot.

Ask around after the auction ends; see if anyone is interested in buying anything, sometimes people will even ask you first.

If someone wants something, tell them to make you an offer. If you really don’t want the item that another person wants, give them a good deal. If they really want the used washing machine that you just won, obviously don’t charge them full retail price, they are looking for a deal, and if you try and charge them a couple hundred dollars they will tell you to forget it. Remember you don’t want to have to deal with this washing machine, so accept $50 or whatever you deem to be reasonable. You will have just made money on your winnings, even though you never left the complex.

But on the other hand, if someone offers to buy something that you really want you are at an advantage. Firstly because it is yours, you don’t have to sell it to anyone. Secondly you may be able to get a really good price with little effort. But watch out, if someone is really interested in something there may be some value behind it. If someone asks you for something that you don’t know much about be careful, you could be holding on to a thousand dollar item.
