How an 18 year old turned $10 into $3000
Learn How to Make Money
from Storage Unit Auctions

What I Sold to Make 95% of My Profits!

You don’t need to win a lot of stuff to make a lot of money, sometimes; it only takes a few to make you a good chunk of money. In my case it was only two.

Remember, how in the previous chapter I told you I happened across what I thought were some electronics in a duffel bag? Well upon closer inspection, it seemed almost like a metal detector, so I thought I would research it on eBay to see if I could find a value of it. All I had to do was type “Metrotech” which was the company name on the handle, into the search feature.

I was totally stunned when I saw what some of them were selling for. The technical name of the product was a “Metrotech 810 Pipe and Cable Utility Locater”

I also learned, that Metrotech was the best company in Utility Locaters, some of the prices that these were selling for were in the $500-$1100 range. (Check for yourself, this is one expensive piece of equipment.) And I kept thinking just an hour ago, I paid $10 for this locater, along with a bunch of other items.

All I had to do, to make money off of it was take a picture, and write up a description, and put it on eBay. 7 days later, the buyer from Colorado sent me a PayPal payment for $1,023.02.

I have already made my money back 100 times over, and I only sold one item!

My next biggest seller were the Hot Wheels that I mentioned before, these were a little more complicated to sell, because when looking at other Hot Wheels auctions I noticed that, there would be two different auctions for the same car, one had a blurry, ugly picture. The other auction had five or six clear, bright, perfect looking pictures. Obviously the second auction sold for a lot more, but often there were $50 differences between auctions, so I took my time taking clear pictures and writing up detailed descriptions.

Remember collectors look at the details.

After the auctions were all said and done, the payments started rolling in, $50 here $200 there, and when all auctions were accounted for, I totaled everything up. $1800 for 30 cars!!

I averaged $60 a car!!

I never would have had any of this money if it wasn’t for the storage unit auctions.

These weren’t the only two things that I sold out of the unit, I sold some of the smaller items in the unit, and kept some things that I wanted, and went on my way looking for more auctions.
