Learn How to Make Money from Storage Unit Auctions |
|
Far and away, eBay is the best place to sell your winnings, nowhere else in the world are you going to find, millions of people to look at your auctions, 24 hours a day seven days a week. It is easy to setup a selling account, and the fees are more than reasonable, collectors and bargain hunters from all over the world are going to be checking out your auctions. Don’t be annoyed if your items don’t sell the first time around. All you need is the right people to see it and you will be holding the cash in no time. If you haven’t done anything on eBay I recommend reading eBay’s help section and community chat boards, these places are jampacked with professionals that are willing to help you. Also there are other sites offering great advice, check them out. But what I believe to be most important is to buy some things yourself on eBay to see how things work and to get a better understanding of the eBay system. Also this will help you build up your feedback rating, which is really important in eBay. When potential buyers are looking at your auctions, and they see a (0) feedback they will be very weary of buying anything from you. But if you have a good rating, the prices you get for items are going to be much higher. But eBay is not the only place you have to sell these items. Another popular option is rummage sales, also known as garage sales, tag sales and other various names; it is basically people selling random items from their garage or front lawn. These are very popular in the summer months. Some people set their daily schedule around attending different rummage sales. Rummage sales are a good place to put bigger items up for sale, items that you don’t want to have to sell on eBay, like reclining chairs or big appliances. Slap a nice cheap price on the side and people will be scooping them up. Again it is good, that you don’t have to sell these big items on eBay so you don’t have to deal with the hassle of shipping bulky, oversize items. Last but not least, are Flea Markets, again these are really popular during the summer months. They are basically a collection of merchants looking to sell things. These usually attract bargain shoppers like flies. If you have a lot of merchandise, this may be the route for you. But I am warning you now, that almost all of the flea markets charge a price for you to be able to sell things. Check the cost out before, and see if it is worth it. More often then not, it will be.
To recap: Rummage Sales- Great for those oversize items, get listed in the classifieds, and people will flock to your sale. Remember have cheap prices and give out something for free like an ice cold glass of lemonade and you will have customers that are more than willing to crack open up their wallets. Flea Markets- Very popular for bargain hunters, there will often be thousands of people passing through the grounds. But they may charge fees for selling. These are good if you have a lot of merchandise.
