I never know what to say, because I never know what to expect when I go inside a unit. I have seen all different kinds of things, from the common like TV’s, clothes, electronics, to the rather odd, like a jar of 300 new pennies, drug paraphernalia, past due bills, and everything in between.
This is what is fun, about storage unit auctions, it is truly a treasure hunt. When you look at a storage unit from the outside, you can only imagine what is inside, it is truly an experience when you go through the things people store.
Also sometimes looks can be quite deceiving. You might think everything in a unit is junk, but once you get everything home and are able to look through everything, you find hidden trinkets that have an incredible value.
But besides the weird and bizarre items you might find there will also be a good assortment of your typical items, one thing I found to be common in a lot of units are cabinets, and washing machines. I don’t know why, but I have seen them in a lot of units.
Another common thing to find in a unit is of course clothes. From my experiences most of the clothes in units are junk and you are better throwing them away then trying to sell them. But I will give you a hint, make sure to check the pockets of all the clothes, you never know what you might find. If people are willing to store valuables in a unit chances are good, that you will find something tucked away in a pocket.
